Iván Villagrana

Photographer and designer focused on fine art portraiture and personal photographic projects.

My work begins with an encounter with people and with the way light, expression, and a moment can shape an image. Through portraiture, dance, and studio experimentation, I explore different ways to build a visual language of my own.

I represented Mexico at the World Photographic Cup, where I received the Silver Medal in Portraiture in 2022. My work has been shown at Museo Soumaya, Hospicio Cabañas, and exhibitions in Berlin and Rome.

I also teach workshops and courses and give talks on portraiture, lighting, and creative processes, sharing tools that help other photographers develop their own vision.
